The açaí palm, commonly found throughout the Amazon, stands 15 to 25 meters tall. The berry is a small, blackish-purple palm fruit that grows in the Amazon rainforest. Although the fruit is mostly made up of one large seed, it retains a unique flavor and texture. The seed can make up to 90% of the fruit's composition.
