Soursop
The soursop is a truly tropical Amazon fruit. Soursops grow on trees, and can be killed by only a few degrees of frost.
Very common throughout much of the world, the soursop possesses a delectable white flesh,
with hints of a smooth and creamy fruit candy. The skin is green, thin and leathery, with
50-100 black seeds distributed throughout the interior of the fruit.
The exotic tropical fruit is usually made into ice creams, sherbets, yogurt, and juice drinks,
but can be eaten raw. The large, elongated, somewhat oval shaped fruits can be up to one foot
long and 6" wide, usually weighing several pounds. The soursop is spotted with small knobby
spines that are easily broken off when the tropical fruit is ripe.
