Answer

Tropical Belt or Tropics:

All the land and water of the earth between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. The entire zone receives the sun's rays more directly than areas in the higher latitudes, and therefore the average annual temperature is higher and seasonal changes in temperature are less.

However, because of factors other than latitude (e.g., distance from the ocean, prevailing winds, elevation), several different climatic types are found including rain forest, steppe, savanna, and desert.* It is in this region that tropical fruits are grown.
