Cupuacu Tropical Juice Products

Cupuacu Fruit The cupuacu is a fruit species considered to be a pre-Colombian crop plant which is still found wild in the eastern sub-region of Brazilian Amazonia. Cupuacu is a small to medium tree in the Rainforest canopy, which belongs to the Chocolate family and can reach up to 20 meters in height. The cupuacu fruit is about the size of a cantaloupe and is highly prized for its creamy exotic tasting pulp.

Cupuacu fruit has been a primary food source in the Rainforest for both indigenous tribes and animals alike. The fruit ripens in the rainy months from January to April and is considered a culinary delicacy in South American cities. The populations that have been eating and cultivating cupuacu for generations look to the plant for a variety of treatments.

Rich in antioxidants, it is also excellent for strengthening the immune system and restoring a youthful vitality, along with preventing cardiovascular disease. In addition, the theo-bromides in cupuacu act like caffeine to provide energy and alertness. The sweetened pulp of the cupuacu fruit can be used in a variety of desserts, including candy, jelly, ice cream and juice.

Cupuacu puree is produced from highest quality fruits free of insects and disease. The puree is then packed, stored and shipped in accordance with good manufacturing practices and all federal regulations under a safety process. The sweetened pulp of the cupuacu fruit can be used in a variety of desserts, including candy, jelly, ice cream, and juice.
