Our coconut processing plant is located in Sumatra, a 2 hour speedboat ride from Singapore, crossing the Strait of Malacca. Sambu processes 4.5 million coconuts a day. Their plantation is approximately 250,000 acres. They build a network of 2,000 miles of canals throughout the plantations- this compares to almost the same length of the Mississippi River or 1/2 the size of the Amazon River- which are used to deliver the raw materials to the plant.
